Dr. Sweet graduated from University of the Pacific (San Francisco) in 1976. He became the new dentist to the far out area of eastern Clovis in 1981, and has since made many friends in the community.

Dr. Sweet's two daughters graduated from Clovis West, and he has walked Downtown Clovis in his Doc Holliday attire along with his quick draw holster (Yes John "Doc" Holliday's diploma hangs in the office). He likes to keep in shape, and has run six marathons, and is usually seen at many races.

As a current Board member of the Fresno Madera Dental Society, and member of the Clovis Chamber of Commerce, Dr. Sweet keeps up with the latest trends and events. He has completed an extra 500 hours of Continuing Education to receive a Fellowship in the prestigious American Academy of General Dentistry. The Clovis Independent Newspaper reader's poll has voted Dr. Sweet "Best Dentist" four different years. He is also a member of the California Dental Society, as well as the American Dental Society.
